The creative habit is like a drug. The particular obsession changes, but the excitement, the thrill of your creation lasts.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. ~Pablo Picasso
Bronia is an artist from the Midlands in the UK she works in many mediums to create many types of art, from craft to fine art.
Her work is always evolving and changing as she is inspired by new thoughts and ideas, sometimes her work is in response to her feelings and sometimes it is made to escape her feelings. Bronia believes the role of art in her life is always evolving and changing yet stays as a constant part of who she is.
Bronia wants her work to be accessible to all she believes art, craft and design bring meaningful depth into people’s everyday lives and that art can be a subtle accompaniment or an obtrusive reminder of emotions, feelings, and thoughts.
She feels it is important to encourage creativity in the young the old and all those in-between, believing it is a positive enrichment to all.
She says, “creative thinking is a hugely important tool which supports learning in many different areas as well as emotional understanding and self-reflection.”
Bronia has had a personal journey with the difficulties that mental heath issues can cause and believes art has been a key player in the journey to recovery and strength in an ever-changing world.
With so many people now suffering with conditions like Anxiety, Depression, and other mental health conditions, she believes now more than ever that we should be cherishing creativity and using it to enrich our lives, using craft sessions to bring people together or art to make people think about and discuss new and old ideas, or as a way to self-reflect, she says "art is not just art, art is more, so much more."
